Nina Rawls, the widow of soul superstar
Lou Rawls, has joined the team of top investors in “25 Hill,” Corbin Bernsen’s film about a boy with a Soap Box Derby dream. Mrs. Rawls grew up in Springfield Township’s Lakemore, which is just outside of Akron where the All American Soap Box Derby is based and is a graduate of Springfield High School. She and her son by Mr. Rawls, Aiden, now split their time between homes in Green (Ohio), Arizona and Los Angeles. The film has been financed primarily through Akron area investors such as Mrs. Rawls.
